REGULATIONS MUT Trail Festival (2026)
ARTICLE 1: MUTfestival CHARTER of the runner Dear trail friends
- Be aware that the natural environment you cross is fragile and sensitive
- Respect the fauna and flora: do not throw used bottles and other packaging on the ground -If you walk in the forest with a headlamp, the light should be red -Don’t shout inappropriately
- Respect the marks, not shortcuts.
- Respect the volunteers, without whom the race could not take place. The organization is not responsible for damage or loss of material or clothing of the runner
- Follow all the rules.
- Help another participant in a dangerous situation.
- The locals welcome you, thank them: a smile and a quick hello are enough.
Accompanying friends
- Respect the areas allowed to the public.
- Knowing that if access to certain sites is prohibited, it is for obvious security reasons or is private property
- Supporter for all trail runners, from the first to the last
- Respect the volunteers: remember that they are mainly there for the participants.
- Group as many people as possible in 1 car, try to limit the number of cars
- Do not smoke in the feeding areas.
- Drive slowly on the road: the race is long and there are many opportunities to see the runners
ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE TRAIL RUNNERS
Tips for trailing without leaving traces: the regulations must be respected, here are the most important points:
- Stay on the paths, do not run off them to avoid trampling vegetation and widening paths
- Store your waste until the next supply. -The supply does not provide drinking cups or cutlery. Use your own cup and possibly specifications
- Explore these spaces in silence to avoid disturbance by wildlife. On the longest distances we walk through the forest with a red light
- The paths taken are used by hikers, you do not have priority and then it is also courteous to thank if these users deviate and facilitate your passage.
ARTICLE 2: THE COMPETITIONS OF THE MUT festival - EDITION 2026:
- Participation in one of the events on the MUTfestival program implies the express acceptance by each participant of the rules appearing on the Internet.
- He undertakes on his word of honor not to anticipate the start, to complete the full distance of the race, to cross the finish line and to respect the MUT festival charter and regulations.
ARTICLE 3: MANDATORY AND RECOMMENDED MATERIALS - ASSISTANCE
- THE MANDATORY EQUIPMENT IS THE FOLLOWING:
- each runner's specific bib number, visible and worn in its entirety throughout the race
- the computer chips specific to each bib and each runner
- A minimum of 500 ml of water or sports drink for the 45
- An eco-cup (this is included with your starter pack, and is needed at the supplies)
- THE RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT IS THE FOLLOWING:
- a mobile phone
- a survival blanket to protect yourself or another participant
- EXTRA
- In case of bad weather, the organization may require additional equipment such as rain gear and headgear
- ASSIST
- If the runner wants to be helped by a support team, this is only allowed in the 50m zone before the official supplies, the supply zone itself is only accessible to participants. The person responsible for supply monitors this
- WATER POINTS
- water points are unmanned supplies with only water, no outside assistance (support team) is allowed here
- WALKING STICKS
- Poles are allowed, except in the first kilometer. Afterwards, the runner must use them with caution so that they do not cause harm to others. The runner may take sticks or hand them over to his followers at any supply point.
- TRAILRUNNER CLOTHING
- This one is free. The organization can impose certain conditions at any time. Ex. the weather conditions
ARTICLE 4: COURSE AND HOUR BARRIERES
A: START All distances of the festival run on the same trails, only the starting places differ. An overview of the starting locations and times can be found below:
- GMM 45 km : startplaats top Congoberg 12u
- RT 21 km : startplaats Helix 14u
- GT 12km : startplaats Abdijpark 15u

Article 5: control and sanctions
- The race will be monitored by (name time registration company) and mountain bikers will accompany all races. Participants not respecting the guidelines (volunteers, race officials, ….), not respecting nature, not respecting fellow-runners, leaving the trails, taking shortcuts will be asked to hand in their race bib and will be removed from the race.
Article 6: Anti-Doping
- The MUT trail festival supports the No Doping Charter. We strongly advocate a clean sport and condemn any form of doping.
Article 7: Privacy
- By enrolling yourself to the MUT trail, you agree that the MUT organization can use your personal details for communications and sharing information regarding current and future races/events organized by OUTTHERE VZW. The MUT organization will not transfer any personal related data to any third party without asking explicit consent.
Article 8: Pictures
- By participating in any of the races included in the program of the MUT trail festival 2026, each participant explicitly authorizes the organizing association OUTTHERE VZW or any of its partners to use or allow to be used or reproduce or allow to be reproduced his name, his image his voice and

his sporting performance in the context of these races for the purpose of any exploitation direct or derivative form of the test, and this on any medium, worldwide, by anyone means to date known or unknown, and for the entire duration of the protection direct or derivative operations currently granted by legal or regulatory provisions.
Article 9: Participation Conditions
- Age : minimum 18y for MUT45
- If under 18y, explicit parental consent required
Article 10: Annulation
- Participants can cancel there subscription till two week before the race. Depending on the date of annulation different reimbursement rates apply.
- 3 months – 2 months before the race: 80% reimbursement
- 2 months – 1 month before the race: 60% reimbursement
- 1 month – 2 weeks before the race: 40% reimbursement
- 2 weeks till race date: 0% reimbursement
Article 11: Insurances
Out There Vzw, organizer of the MUT trail has a civil liability events insurance with KBC
Individual Accidents:
We recommend that everyone purchases a personal sports insurance, whether linked to a license or not.
Article 12: Force Majeure or modification of event.
- In case of force majeure resulting in the cancellation of the event, the organization will inform all runners in due time about the consequences. Depending on the specific circumstances the organization may decide to postpone the event, to transfer the inscriptions to the next calendar year, to partly reimburse, ….
- The organization can be forces by external factor to make some last minute changes to the program. We commit to do whatever it takes to keep the program intact. In case modifications are required, all participants will be informed in due time.
