Sport, adventure for all with respect nature and environment.

Trail and eco-responsibility.

Our various trail races allow participants to discover the beautiful nature of our region. We take into account the local fauna and flora and recognise, as experienced environmentally conscious outdoor athletes, that our event uses trails in a highly valuable landscape. That’s why it is extremely important to us that the organisation disturbs nature as little as possible. To minimise ecological impact, we collaborate with De Helix, an educational centre that promotes learning about nature, the environment, and sustainable development. Our Roaring Twenty race starts at De Helix, giving runners and supporters the chance to explore the site. Our longest distance, the GMM, also passes by here—guaranteed atmosphere!

Education in Collaboration with Certified Nature Guides

Our event is more than just a running race; it is an educational experience. We work with certified nature guides to raise awareness among participants about the unique ecological characteristics of the area. This not only increases understanding but also promotes respect for nature.

Strict Regulations and ‘Leave No Trace’ Principles

We enforce regulations that meet high environmental and conservation standards. Our Leave No Trace principles are applied strictly: reusable course marking, no paint, and the use of GPX. Participants must carry their waste until the next aid station. Our course sweepers remove the markings after the race and actively search for litter.

Conscious Aid Stations

Aid stations are limited to specific zones, and runners are encouraged to bring their own cup to avoid disposable cups. We strive to use local products to minimise our ecological footprint. Toilets are available at De Helix and at the start/finish area to ensure nature is respected.

Quiet Zones

We purposely limit the number of participants. The courses pass through private and sensitive natural areas. We ask all runners to stay on the marked trails and to respect silence in designated quiet zones.

Shared Transport Plan

Our transport plan promotes shared transport to the different starting points, further reducing ecological impact. The event site, the Abbey Park, is easily accessible by public transport, encouraging sustainable mobility.
