Event Location – Abbey Park (Abdijpark)

The type of transport depends on the type of visitor, target audience, regional spread, and location. Below is an overview of transport options and their considerations.

By Bike

For local runners, festival visitors, and supporters, the event is very easily accessible by bicycle. From Geraardsbergen and Ninove, the Abbey Park can be reached via the towpath along the Dender river. The park is located 400 m from the Denderpad. There will be an unguarded bike parking area, and we will provide a cycling supporter route. Soon a GPX will be available for download with a safe, paved route to follow the race by bike.

By Car

Parking is available near the athletics track, at the former Dender Shopping Center, and at Cinema Focus. Nearby parking is limited, so we ask everyone to use sustainable transport whenever possible. Public transport is within walking distance; carpooling is another good option. Directions:

• From Brussels: E40 towards Ghent, exit 19 (Aalst), then follow roads to Geraardsbergen.
• From Ghent: E40 towards Brussels, exit 17 (Wetteren), then N42 towards Zottegem and Geraardsbergen.
• From Antwerp: E17 to Ghent, R4 to Brussels, then E40 to Wetteren, then N42 to Zottegem and Geraardsbergen.
• From Kortrijk: E17 to Ghent, exit 6 (Kruishoutem), then N459, N8, and N493 toward Geraardsbergen.

By Train

Geraardsbergen Station is within walking distance (1.7 km) from the event site.

By Bus
